Japnam Deol is a warm and deeply attuned Social Worker, Psychotherapist who works with the whole family (children, teens, adults, families and parents). Whether you’re reaching out for yourself, your teen, or your child, or as a parent, you deserve thoughtful, compassionate therapist that truly understands the complexity of what you’re facing.

She brings valuable experience from hospital-based settings, where she supported young people, parents and families navigating a wide range of mental health concerns with care and steadiness. Her background has allowed her to work closely with children and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, school refusal, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem challenges, attachment wounds, trauma, grief, and major life transitions such as separation or divorce. She also supports children and teens managing ADHD-related challenges, identity development, peer difficulties, and the growing pressures of academics and social expectations.

. She supports parents and families in strengthening communication, setting boundaries with confidence and consistency, navigating conflict, and creating more stability at home. Parents often leave sessions feeling more equipped, less alone, and clearer on how to respond in ways that foster connection rather than escalation.

With adults, Japnam offers a space to explore trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, attachment-related patterns, self-concept and body image concerns, burnout, people-pleasing, and the long-term effects of emotional, physical, or sexual harm. Her approach is grounded in safety, pacing, and attunement, ensuring that therapy never feels rushed or destabilizing.

Clients describe Japnam as calm, thoughtful, and genuinely present.

She believes every person (child, teen, or adult) deserves a space where their story is taken seriously and their experiences are honored.

If you are ready to feel better yourself or help your child feel more secure, support your teen through a difficult season, manage parental stress, strengthen and your family’s connection, Japnam would be honored to walk alongside you.

Anka’s practice is currently only open for a few OCD therapy clients, and is otherwise full and she is not seeing new clients at this time. If interested, clients can place themselves on a wait list. And only booking sessions for returning clients and a few new OCD therapy clients. With over 20 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I know how isolating it can feel to be stuck — and how much courage it takes to reach out. My goal is simple: to help you feel clearer, calmer, and more like yourself again. I’d be glad to connect whenever you’re ready.
